My daughter wanted to "paint with me" a few days ago, but the weather was horrible with rain starting after snow. So, we gathered supplied in front of my laptop and painted from a photo of Mt Index from a sunny day in November. It is from the same location as I painted from earlier.
Here is her effort from that afternoon:

My version was a little bigger in the same format. Here is where I got that first day:
Here is the finished larger piece. You can tell they were painted from the same photo. That's good, right?!

The canvas is an amazing thing, it can hold the tiniest still life, or as you've shown here.. a great vastness
